Members of the Portable Lamp and Shade Division of Local 3, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) carrying their banner in the 1968 Labor Day Parade. Since the president of the New York City Central Council, AFL-CIO, has, since the 1980s, come from Local 3, that local's participation in the Labor Day Parades has been very broad.
